WHY I LOVE: Palmers Cocoa Butter Formula

So recently I have absolutely been loving Palmers. In particular, Palmers' Cocoa Butter Formula range. Due to my new found love, I thought I'd write a blog post to share my new love.

When recently browsing my local Sainsbury's cosmetics aisles a pretty pink bottle caught my eye. When I wandered over to have a ganders I discovered Palmers. A limited edition baby pink bottle with all funds going to Breast Cancer Care. At first glace I liked the bottle but wasn't struck on the product.

When it comes to body moisturisers and lotions I'm never a big fan. It's always something I forget to do and I have so many lotions and potions that I just don't need to go out and buy more. However, the pink bottle and the scent of the cream completely won me over and within minutes I was stood at the checkout clutching my bottle of Palmers.

THE PRODUCT
I was half expecting the lovely chocolaty scent due to the cream being cocoa butter but the smell of Palmers bowled me over, reminding my heavily of Easter Eggs.

On application, the cream is very thick (which I love) and absorbs into the skin super quick and you can automatically feel the moisture sinking into your skin. I find it leaves your skin feeling moisturised for a good length of time and for an affordable and easily attainable body lotion, this is brilliant!
I loved it so much so that I then went and bought the hand cream version of it. Due to my job my hands are dry constantly so a hand cream is a much needed thing in my life and I find the Palmers cocoa butter hand cream hits the spot perfectly. It is also a good sized tube which is nice 'handbag' size. Big enough to find in your bag but small enough not to 'bulk out' your bag. I love it!!!

THE PRICE
In general I'd say this is most definitely an affordable product. Granted, it isn't as cheap as own brand products but for a brand, it is affordable. The amount you get in a bottle/tube is great and a little really does go a long way.

WHERE TO BUY?
Superdrug, Boots, Savers, Bodycare, Semichem, Supermarkets

REVIEW: EOS lip balm

After seeing the YouTube and Blogging community rave and rave about this product, I knew I had to get my hands on it. However, doing so proved to be a little tricky as this product is mainly sold in the US. Despite this, good old Ebay gave me the power to try out the EOS lip balm.

This lip balm is a spherical lip balm coming in a variety of scents/flavours. It is enriched with Vitamin E, shea butter and jojoba oil making it ultra-moisturising on the lips, meaning lips are left soft, moist and amazingly smooth. Although, its really no surprise considering EOS itself stands for, ‘Evolutions of Smooth’.
a little 'dirty' due to applying over lipsticks.

The packaging of the EOS lip balm is what you could say, ‘qwirky’? The packaging is solid and in no means feels cheap. When un-screwing the lid you’re given hard balm, yet when applied to the lips, goes on smoothly. This, I love! I hate lip balm that chips and cracks or even worse, snaps, when it’s knocked or dropped. This lips balms’ actual product is so solid, and tightly enclosed in the sphere that there is no chance of this happening. I also love how the sphere has a flat bottom as this helps to easily store the balm upright without it constantly toppling over.

When applying, the balm goes on smoothly and easily without tugging on the lips. You can instantly feel the moisture in your lips and that feeling remains for a really long time. I found myself constantly applying this product whilst in the office at work. This however, was because the lip balm smells so delicious and feels so luxurious on the lips.

Despite the lip balms smelling so nice, I would say that the smell of the packaging is a little too over-powering for packaging. The strong smells of plastic/rubber often over-rides the smell of the balm and for me, this is a big ‘no, no’!

EOS smooth sphere lip balms come in the flavours; Strawberry Sorbet, Summer Fruit, Sweet Mint, Honeysuckle Honeydew, Passion Fruit, Lemon Drop (which has an added SPF 15) and Medicated Tangerine.

One final thing that I dislike/would like to change, about this product is the availability. I have never seen an EOS lip balm, or any other EOS products available in a UK store. I also struggled to find them online, finally finding some for sale on the well known auction site, Ebay. However, after further research I found a couple of UK websites, and 1 US site shipping to the UK that sold the EOS lip balm (there links are below). I would love it if EOS products could be sold generally in UK stores as I would definitely be interested in trying out more of their products as I have been very happy with the EOS smooth sphere balm.
